Gun Violence Prevention Campaign:
Survivors United Playday Fundraising
Gun Violence Prevention is a topic K.I.D believes is a pressing issue in our current society. In a nation where there were 51 school shootings in 2022 alone (according to Education Week), it is imperative that we stand in solidarity with survivors and declare enough is enough.
Kids Inspire Difference has partnered with Survivors Embracing Each Other to raise $1,000 for their Survivors United Playday Event. Zoe Touray started S.E.E in 2022 after surviving a school shooting. The foundation is dedicated to creating a community amongst survivors of gun violence, especially school based gun violence. Survivors United Playday is S.E.E's hallmark event where survivors come together for a day full of fun, food, and games. The event strives to remind children that they are still children despite the tragedies they have endured. Donations will go toward travel costs, food, games, supplies, and a brunch for the families of Robb Elementary in Texas.
Zoe Touray, founder of S.E.E explains, "This event is for the survivors of Robb elementary. Kids between the ages of 9-11. Children who lost their innocence much too soon. It’s important that they spend time together to heal, but also to have fun running around experiencing the joys of a normal childhood without the pain of loss and trauma.”
Any size donation is appreciated! The Kids Inspire Difference team thanks you sincerely for your generosity and support of our efforts.
